He has a specialist knowledge and experience of Employment Law, which is enhanced by his Lay membership of the Employment Tribunal panel in Glasgow since 1999. He is a member of the Acas Equal Pay panel. He achieved a BA in Business Law in 2006.
He has gained expertise across the generalist HR spectrum, particularly in employee relations and trades unions negotiations, managing disciplinary and grievance meetings, managing attendance and performance issues, as well as reviewing and creating policy documentation.
He has worked in both the Private and Public sectors including multi-site businesses and within the Care, Manufacturing, Private, Public, Retail, Service and Leisure industries. He has experience in working with various HRM systems and has produced and maintained Organisation Intranet and Web Sites.
He successfully led major exercises over, absence management, changes to terms and conditions, conduct and capability, discipline, discrimination, employment tribunal support, flexible working, job evaluations, performance management, recruitment, redundancy, training. and TUPE.
Terry Stirton

She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development: BPS Psychometric Testing: Workplace Mediator (ACAS): IOSH Management Health and Safety Qualification: OA Diploma with Distinction (Counselling): OA Advanced Diploma with Distinction (Counselling): Mental Health First Aid Trained.
Terry has over 35 years’ experience working in HR, Employment Law and Industrial and Employee Relations. She has worked in the Private, Public, Charity and Third Sectors over the years. Terry has held senior HR roles including HR director in the NHS, Direct Banking and KA Leisure. She has led major redundancy and TUPE programs.
She has vast experience in dealing with generalist HR matters, particularly in employee relations and trades unions negotiations, she has managed disciplinary and grievance meetings, managed attendance, and performance issues, as well as reviewing and creating policy, procedures, and employment contract documentation. She has a specialist knowledge and experience of Employment Law.
